This morning was an early morning (especially for a Saturday!). We woke up around 7:30 and got ready to go on a biking trip with my husband’s uncle and a bunch of his friends. By eight o’clock we were out the door and on our way to Bet She’an, a small town in northeastern Israel [...]

Well, another day, another story!
Today we relaxed a bit, slept in and then had a sizeable (and very tasty) Israeli breakfast. After about forty-five minutes of digestion, my husband and I got ready to go mountain biking with his uncle. We suited up, filled up the water bottles, put on our helments, and biked down [...]

As you may be able to tell from the lapse in entries, I have not been able to do much running since I’ve been here. However, I sure have been able to do a whole bunch of eating. My husband’s family has certainly been keeping us well fed. Here is a picture of breakfast this [...]

Hello from Israel!
After an exhausting journey, there was basically no way that I would have had the energy to run yesterday, so I took the day off and went sightseeing instead. My husband’s aunt took us around two towns in the north of Israel, we saw her ceramics studio, a whole bunch of cows, and a [...]

After 27 hours of travel, we made it to Israel!
Our flight from Seattle to New York was scheduled to leave at 9 am. However, we got a phone call at 5 a.m. from American informing us that our flight would be delayed and that we would therefore miss our connection in New York. The woman [...]

Today was the last day of my dyad placement. It was sad to leave the school and the kids, but it is certainly nice to be progressing through each semester of my teacher certification program. After school I went over to the house of one of my classmates to celebrate the end of the quarter. [...]

Tonight I went to my last Wednesday night track workout for a few weeks. We did a combination of 400s and 800s. I ran the intervals pretty evenly and managed to stick right with my group. Overall it was a very successfull workout. I cooled down, stretched, and went home.

I usually have to get up early for school on Tuesdays, but classes are over for the quarter so I got to sleep in today! Woo-hoo! Granted, I didn’t sleep very late, but it was just nice not having to get up! I thought that today would be a good day to catch-up on some [...]

Since I left for the national meet last Thursday morning, I missed a day of pre-student teaching, so instead of having the day off today, I took this opportunity to go into school and make-up the day that I missed. It was very interesting to be there on a Monday. The flow of the day [...]

Today was definitely an early morning! After going to bed at around 1:30 in the morning, I got up when my roommates came in at about 4:30. Since we had to be packed and ready to go by 6:00AM, I laid in bed for about another forty-five minutes without being able to fall asleep. I got out [...]
